Meanwhile, Sebastian Sanger, a taxidermy shop worker who suffers from hallucinations and low self-esteem, begins to experience changes in his body and mind after being bitten by a rat infected with the Red, a mysterious substance that grants animal-like abilities. He is contacted by Mother Mayhem, the leader of the Trigon cult, who tells him that he is the chosen one to fulfill Trigon’s prophecy and become Brother Blood. She guides him to the ritual site, where he finds Traigon’s horn, a powerful artifact that can amplify magic. He also meets Klarion the Witch Boy, a mischievous sorcerer who offers him his help.
The Titans track down May Bennett and learn that she is Rachel’s biological mother, who gave her up for adoption after being impregnated by Trigon. They also discover that Rachel has inherited Trigon’s magic and that she is the key to stopping Brother Blood’s ritual. They return to S.T.A.R. Labs, where they devise a plan to stop Brother Blood and rescue Rachel, who has been kidnapped by Mother Mayhem.
In part two, the Titans follow Brother Blood to Caul’s Folly, a quaint but eerie town where he has gathered his followers and prepared for the ritual. The Titans infiltrate the town and try to retrieve Traigon’s horn, but they are confronted by Brother Blood’s minions, including Jinx, Klarion, Mammoth and Shimmer. They also face the spell of Caul’s Folly, which makes them relive their worst memories and fears.
Meanwhile, Gar uncovers long-lost secrets from his past as he confronts his mysterious connection to the Red. He learns that he was experimented on by Project Cadmus as a child and that he has a brother named Logan who also has animal-like abilities. He reunites with Logan and helps him escape from Cadmus.
With Dick and Kory at risk of falling victim to the spell of Caul’s Folly, Bernard and Tim attempt to crack the town’s mystery before it’s too late. They manage to break the spell and free Dick and Kory from their nightmares. They also find Gar and Logan and join forces with them.
With help from Conner at LexCorp, Sebastian manifests his powers in a sinister new way, as Dick and Rachel have a close encounter with black magic. Dick tries to reason with Sebastian and convince him to stop the ritual, but Sebastian refuses to listen and attacks him. Rachel uses her magic to protect Dick and fight back against Sebastian.
When an unexpected reconnection sheds light on Project Starfire, Kory is forced to make a difficult decision regarding her role in taking down Sebastian. She learns that she was sent to Earth by her sister Blackfire as part of a secret mission to stop an intergalactic threat known as Darkfire. She decides to stay with the Titans and help them defeat Sebastian.
With Brother Blood at full power and Conner left in critical condition, the Titans join forces to try and defeat Sebastian once and for all. They launch a final assault on Brother Blood’s lair, where they face off against his army of followers. They manage to destroy Traigon’s horn and stop the ritual before it can be completed. They also free Rachel from Mother Mayhem’s control and defeat Jinx, Klarion, Mammoth and Shimmer. Dick and Rachel confront Sebastian and use their combined skills and magic to defeat him. Rachel then uses her magic to heal Conner and restore his life.
The season ends with the Titans celebrating their victory and saying goodbye to each other. Dick and Kory decide to get married and start a family. Conner and Tim decide to stay in Metropolis and work with Bernard at S.T.A.R. Labs. Gar and Logan decide to travel the world and explore their abilities. Rachel decides to leave Earth and join her mother in the Underworld, where she can learn more about her magic and heritage. The Titans part ways as friends and heroes, knowing that they will always be there for each other when needed.
