The story begins with Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, living a mundane civilian life. Having retired from his days as the wisecracking, morally flexible mercenary, Wade now works as a used car salesman. His life takes a dramatic turn when he is approached by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), an organization responsible for monitoring the multiverse. The TVA informs Wade that his home universe is on the brink of destruction due to the death of its “anchor being,” Logan/Wolverine.
Wade is initially reluctant to get involved, but the existential threat to his universe forces him to take action. He steals a device called the TemPad from the TVA, which allows him to travel across different timelines and universes. His mission: to find a variant of Wolverine who can help save his universe
Wade’s journey through the multiverse is filled with humor, action, and unexpected encounters. He meets various versions of Logan, each with their own unique characteristics and backstories. Some are more willing to help than others, but Wade eventually finds a version of Logan who agrees to join him. This Logan is initially skeptical and reluctant, but Wade’s persistence and the looming threat convince him to team up.
