It took long enough, but Arceus finally intervened and helped out! Seriously though, the fact that this was a disaster that ARCEUS HIMSELF had to get involved in AT ALL is crazy. Pretty good movie, I give it an 8/10.

I think the movie was about a 6/10. This is because Ash and Pikachu literally encountered all of the Pokemon in previous movies even though they don't really connect to the story line or any other movie except the three main movies in generation 4 but even then at least make it where Ash has seen the Pokemon before and not completely forget what they were. Everything else was pretty good but I wish someone in the movie was able to play Lugia's song when Lugia appeared.

Pokemon is the best anime and cartoon on this earth. I am watching this since from my childhood an now i am of 17 years but i still love this show very much.

Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages Story line / Plot

The Pokémon Hoopa's strength was once contained inside the Prison Bottle after it spiralled out of control and started causing destruction. Hoopa's interdimensional rings have opened a gateway to Dahara City, where Ash Ketchum and his friends Pikachu, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie are transported. It is discovered that, in its altered state, Hoopa cannot travel through the rings it makes, despite its attempts to use its rings to transport everyone to the adjacent Dahara Tower. A caretaker for Hoopa named Baraz shows up with the Prison Bottle. He is the great-grandson of the person who cut off Hoopa's power. A shadow of Hoopa that was produced by his rage after being imprisoned for 100 years is released by Baraz after becoming possessed by the bottle.

A bottle theft attempt is made by Team Rocket. Meowth becomes possessed as soon as he grabs hold of it, and he opens the bottle to let Hoopa's power out. Hoopa battles the power and is able to hold it at bay, but after that, Hoopa's shadow emerges as a different Pokémon and tries to take control of the real Hoopa. The Prison Bottle blows up in the scuffle. The legendary Pokémon Lugia is called by Hoopa. As Hoopa makes its getaway, Lugia diverts the attention of its shadow. Meray and Baraz are aware that they can use the forces of earth, fire, and water to create a new bottle at Dahara Tower. They made the decision to employ Serena's Braixen, Ash's Frogadier, and a desert-based wild hippopotamus.

While this is going on, Lugia triumphs in its battle with Hoopa's shadow. This puts a stop to the struggle by deceiving Lugia into flying through a ring, which sends Lugia back to its aquatic habitat. The legendary Pokémon Latias, Latios, and Rayquaza are then called forth by Hoopa. Latias and Latios are used by Ash, Hoopa, and Pikachu while Rayquaza aids in battling Hoopa's shadow. The Pokémon are ordered to attack by Ash, but Hoopa's shadow calls forth six other Legendary Pokémon. The others are constructing a new Prison Bottle at the tower in the meantime by combining the forces of fire, earth, and water.

In order to safeguard Dahara Tower, Rayquaza summons a twister, while the others inside refine the Prison Bottle. The legendary Pokémon, however, as well as Hoopa's shadow, cut through it. A new bottle is created, but Baraz spills it. When Ash catches it, he becomes possessed. With the help of its joyful recollections, Hoopa purifies its shadow and drives away evil. However, a time distortion develops around the tower as a result of too many legendary Pokémon being called. With its powers completely recovered and unaffected by rage, Hoopa uses its rings to assist everyone inside the tower in escaping. Hoopa, however, is unable to traverse the rings. The space-time fissure then closes. Initially, Arceus uses its strength to halt it, giving Hoopa one more opportunity to flee. Hoopa manages to forget the lyrics of It was Baraz and Meray's great grandpa who first placed limits on Hoopa's authority and is regarded as familial. After deciding to stay with them, Hoopa is able to exit the ring. Before going back to its residence in the Arche Valley, Hoopa decides to reconstruct the city.
