A 2023 American superhero movie based on Marvel Comics, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Scott Lang as Ant-Man and Hope Pym as Wasp. It is the follow-up to Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and the 31st movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was produced by Marvel Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (MCU). The movie stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, along with Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, Katy O'Brian, William Jackson Harper, Bill Murray, Michelle Pfeiffer, Corey Stoll, and Michael Douglas. It was directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jeff Loveness. In the movie, Kang the Conqueror confronts Lang and Van Dyne after they and their family are transported to the Quantum Realm (Majors).

Honest Review of this movie

The new Ant-Man film is not horrible, but it continues a pattern that has plagued recent Marvel releases. The main character serves as a pretext to introduce a few fresh faces who will undoubtedly have their own tales to tell. Paul Rudd's role becomes less significant as a result. It doesn't seem like his tale to you. He just arrived. Even the tale itself is not that terrific. The absence of memorable characters from earlier films is palpable. They were establishing the story's tone, and we had no idea what happened to them after the last film. It's improbable that the director of this film is the same as that of the previous two. This became a Kang movie with Ant-Man once Kang was added.

Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania Storyline/Plot

During her time imprisoned in the Quantum Realm, Janet van Dyne meets Kang, a "exiled" traveller who promises that if she can assist him in reassembling his Multiversal Power Core, they may both leave the realm. Once they are able to fix it, Janet has a vision of him conquering and destroying planets, and she decides to turn her back on him. Outmatched, Janet makes his Power Core unusable by enlarging it with her Pym Particles, further isolating them in the Realm.

After the Battle of Earth, Scott Lang has now become a successful memoirist and has been cohabitating with Hope van Dyne in the present. Cassie, Lang's now-teenage daughter, has developed into an activist, and because of her work, Lang has had to free Cassie from prison. Cassie discloses that she has been developing on a gadget that can make contact with the Quantum Realm while visiting Hope's parents, Hank Pym and Janet. As Janet learns this, she becomes terrified and attempts to turn the device off, but the message is heard, causing a vortex to open and drag the five of them into the Quantum Realm. When Hope, Janet, and Pym explore, the locals who are in uprising against their monarch find Lang and Cassie.

Lord Krylar, a previous ally of Janet's, tells Hope, Janet, and Pym that things have changed since she departed [b] and that he is now working for Kang, who is now in charge of the kingdom. After being forced to leave, the three hijack his spacecraft. The rebels' leader Jentorra informs the Langs that Janet's association with Kang was a contributing factor in Kang's insurrection. Kang's robotic troops under the command of M.O.D.O.K., who is later revealed to be Darren Cross after surviving his apparent death at Lang's hands, shortly launch an assault on the rebels.

The Langs are brought before Kang, who threatens to murder Cassie unless Lang helps him recover his power core. Lang is brought to the core, where he contracts. When Hope shows up, she saves him from drowning in a sea of versions of himself and helps him get the power core. Nevertheless, Kang breaks the agreement, seizing Janet and destroys the spacecraft that Pym was on. Pym assists Lang and Hope as they go to Kang after being saved by his ants, which were also drawn into the Quantum Realm, swiftly developed, and become hyper-intelligent. Cassie, who is still in jail, frees Jentorra, and together they launch an insurrection against Kang and his soldiers.Cross' character is persuaded to switch sides and fight Kang during the battle by Cassie, even if doing so results in his death.

When Pym, Hope, Cassie, and Janet travel home via a portal, Janet restores the power core; however, Kang confronts Lang and almost beats him to death. Hope reappears as Lang and she decimate the power core and push Kang into it, pulling him into oblivion. Lang and Hope may go back home once Cassie reopens the portal on her end. As Lang joyfully carries on with his life, he starts to question what he was told about Kang's passing being the beginning of something bad, but ignores it.

In a mid-credits scene, numerous variants of Kang commiserate over the death of one of their own and plan their multiversal uprising. In a post-credits scene, Loki and Mobius spot another Kang variant named Victor Timely in the 1920s.
