About Lucifer Series
Tom Kapinos created the American urban fantasy television series Lucifer, which debuted on January 25, 2016, and ran until September 10, 2021. It is based on the Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg-created DC Comics character. The protagonist of a subsequent comic book series that sprang out from the original character's introduction in The Sandman. Vertigo, an imprint of DC Comics, released both series. Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment, and Jerry Bruckheimer Television produced the television show.
The series centres on the journey of Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), the Devil from the DC Universe, who leaves Hell for Los Angeles to open his own nightclub called Lux and work as a consultant for the LAPD. The ensemble and supporting cast members are Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel "Dan" Espinoza, Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, and (starting in season 2) Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. Prior to the third season, production was split between Vancouver and Los Angeles, however the majority of the filming had taken place in Vancouver.
The first season garnered mixed reviews from critics, but later ones were higher appreciated; several of them singled out Ellis's performance for acclaim. Ratings were continuously low throughout the Fox series' existence, despite the show's early success with a large audience for its premiere. Fox terminated Lucifer after three seasons in May 2018. A month later, Netflix decided to continue the series. Over the course of the next three seasons, it maintained a high level of popularity on the streaming service.

Lucifer indulges in his favorite vices—wine, women, and song—while working with LAPD detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) to solve crimes. The show was originally picked up by Fox for three seasons, but was canceled after the third season. However, due to its popularity, Netflix picked up the show for a fourth season and renewed it for two more seasons. The show concluded its six-season run on Netflix in 2021. Lucifer is a well-made show with a strong cast. Tom Ellis is particularly good as Lucifer, bringing a lot of charisma and charm to the role. The supporting cast is also excellent, with Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Kevin Alejandro, Tricia Helfer, and Lesley-Ann Brandt all giving great performances. After spending his entire life in hell moping around, Lucifer decides to move to Los Angeles.
